The Arizona Governor’s Conference on Tourism (AZGCOT) is the premier educational and networking event in the state for travel professionals and destination marketers. Tourism is Arizona’s No. 1 export industry, and each year, the AZGCOT provides its attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers, learn from expert panelists, draw inspiration from nationally renowned speakers, and discover cutting-edge products and services.

In addition to professional development, AZGCOT is an occasion to celebrate. The Taste of Arizona Reception is a social dine-around that showcases cuisine from some of Arizona’s best chefs and restaurants. And the Governor’s Tourism Awards Gala, which brings Day 2’s activities to a festive close, recognizes the achievements of the marketers, ambassadors and innovators who each year propel Arizona’s travel industry to new heights.

Aji, meaning “Sanctuary” in the Pima language is appropriately named after the nearby Aji Mountain located on the Gila River Indian Community where women and children would go in times of war. Aji Spa is where sacred Pima and Maricopa traditions are still practiced and shared. Offering the only authentic Native American spa menu in existence, the Indigenous Collection features treatments and activities designed and practiced by Aji’s Pima and Maricopa Cultural Caretakers. The ancient Pima and Maricopa cultures are also showcased throughout the spa in design elements, artwork, architecture and shared legends.

The “Passport to Getaways” concept is a unique way for hotels to showcase all of their Special Offers in a very unique booklet format.  Using the look of a typical Passport, each page contains an individual offer including image, description and booking link.  The vanity URL also allows properties to add the Passport to their other digital marketing assets such as signatures banners, website, or any other type of online marketing campaign.

The main advantage of this Passport format is that, for guests that are already familiar with the property, they can simply bookmark the Passport to Getaways link and view the current special offers in a very simple way.  It also uses a fully responsive design making it compatible with tablets and mobile devices too.
